Ilang lalaki pa kaya ang sinasaktan o inaabuso ng kanilang mga partner sa buhay ang di kayang ipagtanngol ang kanilang sarili? Don't get me wrong, this is not a gender issue, mahal ko mga babae, napapaligiran ako ng babae saking paglaki. Tatlong babae kapatid ko, solo kong lalaki. Anak ko babae din, at ikamamatay kong malaman ang may manakit sa kanila.
This is an issue of equal protection. Why would any law favor one gender from the other? Why aren't there any laws protecting gays or lesbians? But we have this 10 or so laws protecting women? Di kaya eto ang di sa atin nakakapag pa abante bilang tao, bilang bansa? We so desparately try to distinguish one from the other, but, we all know that we should be treated equally. While some can do somethings the other can't we are still human, in Science homo sapiens in the Bible - Man, created in His own image.
Think of it this way, if you have a 'special kid' do you call him special or a gift? Do you treat him differently or you treat him normally? Will it be better to treat him normally to grow normally? To grow in a society that's full of shit? So he can survive?
The more the laws protecting someone from something, the more this society becomes corrupt. The more we want to get out of the system. But in truth and in fact it's not the system but how you view things that matters, how you behave, how you were raised that is the question.If this society can be taught to love, respect and protect anyone from anything we don't need laws. All we need is our conscience.
I say this not because I'm guilty or not of the offense, that's another story. My case was already dismissed and is now in the archive. Let this be something that will awaken my fellow male species to come out of the open and stop being a hypocrite and open their eyes.
Now till i get a better name for my cause other than Diego Silang, my apologies once again to his family or to this nation who reveres his name. He is great, and I hope we will be embody his greatness as we go on with our own fight to REPEAL RA 9262.

Can my girlfriend file a case against me using this law?
Yes, even your mistress as long as there is an established sexual or dating relationship or with whom you had a child. Scared now? You’d better be.
I doubt my girlfriend can file this case, who else can file?
This is considered a public offense, so anyone having personal knowledge of what’s happening or what happened can file. Is your Yaya your best buddy? Think again.
Will I be kicked out of our residence if this case was filed?
Yes and no. Even if it’s not an actual case filed to the proper court. She can still file for a protection order from your Barangay, which will decide on the matter and issue a BPO (Barangay Protection Order) ex parte, meaning even without hearing your defense. For the purpose of preventing further harm on the petitioner, this may be granted so better pack your things now.
But my Mom owns the unit we’re occupying, how can she kick me out?
This is regardless of ownership, so again, pack your things now.
But I was drunk that time when I hit her?
Lame excuse, get a lawyer now.

Nais ko rin ibahagi ang aking karanasan. Kung pano gumawa gawa ng kwento ang ex gf ko para magamit ang RA 9262. Tahasang pang aabuso sa batas na ito! May anak po kami na nasa kinder at 3 taon na kaming hiwalay. Pumupunta punta siya sa bahay kasama ang bata pag may okasyon sa amin, lalo pag Pasko at new year. Pero nung 2013, nung nalaman niya may gf ako, lalo niyang nilayo ang bata sa akin. Pati mga magulang ko sinisiraan na kesyo iniinsulto siya, na di naman totoo. Mabait mga magulang ko, kahit lagi niyang pinipilit na kasama siya pag iniimbitahan namin ang bata ay ayos lang sa kanila.
Recently nanganak siya (sa ibang lalaki). Hiningian ako ng 30k monthly para daw sa anak namin kundi daw kakasuhan ako ng RA 9262. Nagnegotiate ako na babaan pero ayaw niya. Kaya eto ang kaso ngayon. Sabi niya binugbog ko daw siya noon at tinangkang gahasain. Pero puro kasinungalingan yon. Ako pa nga ang binubugbog niya noon. Nalihis na ang istorya mula doon sa hiningi niyang suporta 30k umano sa bata. Baka ako po ay matulungan niyo. Baka sakaling may marefer kayong defense lawyer na affordable ang rate. Maraming salamat po and more power!
